Winemaker Bart Barthelemy Notes

Bright and shiny, this port has a beautiful burgundy red color. The aromas are of black cherry and cassis with hints of vanilla and cedar. Up front, the spicy and distinct tastes of blackberry and dark cherry are very pleasing and leave you with a finish of nuts and bittersweet chocolate. This port is our lightest and makes a wonderful accompaniment to appetizers; pâtés, hard nutty cheeses, or nuts. . It also compliments gorgonzola and blue cheeses, escargot, medium spicy Asian food and steaks.
