Winemaker Dave Dobson Notes

The vines woke up early in 2005. May was cool and wet, delaying bloom and harves. This late start could have made for a problematic vintage, but the exceedingly benign and long Indian summer enabled the delay of harvest until Thanksgiving providing optimum ripeness. The grapes were brought in mid-October, a full two weeks later than usual.
