Winemaker Jon Phillips Notes

The grapes for this wine come from a friend of ours, Brian Gallaway whose ranch is located just outside the town of Healdsburg. The Cabernet Sauvignon is grown on an eastern facing hillside vineyard along the western slope of the Dry Creek Valley, while the Merlot comes from a little protected area near Brian’s house; producing a distinctive wine rich with warm berry flavors.
Full bodied with soft, non-astringent tannins, rich with flavors of cassis and blackberry and a toasty finish. Enjoy this wine today with food, or lay it down for several years, because this wine will only get better with age!
Open-top fermented. Aged for 31 months in a combination of two year old & neutral French oak. During the last 10 months, 25% was aged ...more... in new European Oak.
