This is a terrific example of Livermore’s distinctive fruit and spice. The nose delivers scents of dried dark cherry, black raspberry, Creme de Cassis, dark rose, date molasses, black fig, licorice root and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is supple in texture and quietly mouth-coating, while the flavors are a lingering melange of cherry, berry, date and fig fruit tied to rich sweet-savory undercurrents of cola, dark chocolate, tobacco, cedar, licorice root, clove and other baking spices. Slightly creamy and already very satisfying, its style and character will make it a fine compliment to sauced meat entrees
