Winemaker Beatrice Cointreau Notes

Our 2013 ADMIRABLE Vigneronne is a crafted Californian super premium.
Enjoy this dark full bodied red wines with this typical peppery note in the after taste, enhanced by French know-how and skills.
Only in California could I blend Syrah (originally a Burgundy varietal) to a Merlot (more a Bordeaux type varietal) for the best of each world and perfect balance.
Deep color due to the thick skins’ high tannins (anthocyanin).
Flamboyant blueberry, blackberry aromas, and a touch of black pepper (the signature of Syrah). A hint of vanilla, which ends with licorice, blended with cardamom and spices.
Known since the Roman times, the Syrah varietal gives opulent red wines.
ADMIRABLE Vigneronne has fruit driven characteristics with Vanilla and ...more... Spices.
Because of its front loaded style, the Syrah is often blended with grapes that add mid-palette and elegance.
Traditionally, in Bordeaux area, a small portion of Merlot grapes are used to perfume and balance the opulent as well, Cabernet-Sauvignon. The tradition is respected here with this blend of Syrah and Merlot.
Food and Wine pairing
Vigneronne will pair well with “coq au vin” as well as creamy scallops,
cheese soufflé, steak tartar, duck confit and boeuf bourguignon.
Spicy food (including Indian, my favorite pairing), red fruits & berries desserts will of course be a nice echo in term of aromas.
