WINEMAKING NOTES: The 2013 Sauvignon Blanc was harvested by hand in late August. Whole-cluster pressed and fermented in both neutral oak and stainless steel. The finished wine was racked clean in early 2014 and blended with small amounts of Semillon and Viognier. Cold stabilized and bottled in July 2014.
TASTING NOTES: Westerly 2013 Sauvignon Blanc opens with bright citrus notes of Meyer lemon lifting the delicate aromas of white nectarine. The palate is layered with flavors of juniper, fennel and vanilla toast coating the palate with lemon oils. Weighty in texture, this wine is defined by a bright freshness and balanced acidity.
