Winemaker Chris Barrett Notes
We source this fruit from two well regarded vineyards, the reknown Bacigalupi Vineyard and Windsor Oaks Vineyard, located in the Russian River Valley. The coastal influence provides these grapes with depth of flavors and acidity that showcase the old Wente clone. Once the fruit is pressed, it’s racked off into barrels while stirred twice a week during primary and secondary fermentation giving the wine a full body on the palate.
Luscious with concentrated aromas of apricot, nectarine, caramel and toast is the beginning naunces of this Russian River terroir. Apon entry, this wine delivers complex layers of pear brulee, peach, and candied orange coupled with perfectly balanced acidity releasing an endless finish. ...more...
