Winemaker Chuck Ortman Notes
2009 was a mix of favorable weather and some hot days right before harvest, which gave us an even ripening on our Pinot Noir. A thorough progression of flavors allowed us to monitor maturity levels in different parts of the vineyard, so we carefully selected the lots of grapes that make up this wine. This medium-bodied Pinot Noir has a bright red color, and the palate boasts juicy flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and our signature Riverbench smoke and clove. Try this with grilled lamb chops or beer brined pork chops.
