THE 2008 Faite Pinot Noir represents the pinnacle of this vintage’s Pinot Noir.
Faite began as a project experimenting with the potential of the Pinot Noir on our estate vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Three vintages later, we are still making discoveries both in the vineyard and in the cellar, but are very pleased with the direction we are going with this impeccable wine.
It is made entirely of fruit from Block 7, and only from carefully selected rows within that block. ere are two Dijon clones in the mix, 115 and 667, providing wonderful intensity and a masculine structure. Fermentation was managed in a small tank, as this is a very small lot.
