Winemaker Martin Fujishin Notes

The 2009 Viognier is our second vintage from the Bitner Vineyard.
Produced in a floral, dry, fruit forward style, it was aged sur-lees for 3 weeks following fermentation to smooth and soften this often acidic wine. Viognier at its best is floral on the nose, with stone fruit, peaches and pears on the palate and a smooth finish.
Fermentation and aging were completed entirely in stainless steel using Rhone 4600 yeast.
We intend this wine to serve well as a standalone sipper or pair well with a variety of summer salads, seafood dishes, or light pasta.
