Winemaker Jack Stuart Notes

The wine is brilliant medium-deep garnet in color, with generous aromas of red and black fruits, dark spices, and suggestions of pancetta and dry-cured olives. Entry is medium tart, mouthfeel is supple, and texture is slightly grainy, carrying the ripe and earthy flavors to a long, toasty finish.
Our 2007 Aglianico has the classic profile of the variety: supple, juicy, balanced, and structured for aging. Try it with pappardelle bolognese or the California equivalent of Tuscan beefsteak
