Acorn Winery
ACORN’s award winning, small production, estate grown, field blend wines express the unique character of the historic Alegría Vineyards in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley.
For more than 25 years, vineyard and winery owners Betsy and Bill Nachbaur have been hands-on and passionate about preserving the tradition of field-blending and co-fermenting. Each of ACORN’s distinctive, well-balanced wines includes multiple grape varieties picked and fermented together.
First planted in 1890, there are more than 70 grape varieties grown on the certified sustainable estate. Varieties produced include Heritage Vines Zinfandel from the original 1890s vineyard, Axiom Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Dolcetto, Rosato (a dry Rose) and two special blends called Medley...
