Andrew Lane Wines
The father-and-sons operation of Andrew Lane Winery dates back to the late 1970s, when David Dickson founded the business and named it after his two sons. During the early years, David won a series of awards at the Napa Valley Home Winemaker's Classic and received Best of Show at the prestigious Napa Town & Country Fair in 1983.
Yet Andrew Lane remained an underground project until David's son Andrew turned the family winery into a commercial venture in 2002. The relationships forged during the previous 30 years helped give the winery access to some of the best vineyards in Napa, and right out of the gate the Andrew Lane upstart had some of the best Cabs in Napa.
