WineMatch APP Adds Event Tracking for FWC Event!
On the day of the event and in celebration to Family Winemakers' return to where it all began in 1991, the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, WineMatch has just released version 2.0 of our iPhone app which will allow event organizers and wineries to be able to track user likes of both your winery and wines.

We're pretty excited with good reason. With this latest release, folks at the Family Winemakers events will be able to have attendees track winery favorites by simply scanning a QR code. So whether or not you are subscribed to WineMatch, they'll be a free benefit for your winery. We will be coming by and dropping off a winery QR code placard to each winery with a green color accent, which has its own stand and is only the size of a business card. I want to note that the use here is optional though I think this is an exciting advance in meaningful data collection at these events. In fact, we will be doing the same at the upcoming Del Mar event as well and we're working hard to get as many adopters of the new version as possible.

In addition to the winery placards, those of you who have submitted wines to WIneMatch for profiling will have an added benefit of attendees being able to tell you which wines they like, by simply scanning the wine QR code placard, which will have a burgundy-colored accent strip, thus making it simple to discern a winery placard from a wine placard.

At the registration, there will be a WineMatch banner for the attendee to be able to see what the iPhone app does and a QR code to allow them to download the from the Apple Store while they wait or when first coming through the doors.
One last point and likely the most significant one. With this app, we know the e-mail of the attendee. When they first open the app, there is an option to share their personal information with the winery. If they opt in, we'll be able to share ALL that information with the wineries. Things like who liked your winery and how much using an easy to understand one to three heart rating system. Likewise, if they liked your wine, that information will be shared as well giving you the opportunity to contact them directly to close the sale.
