Why Wineries should be at Family Winemakers
This August 17 & 18 tasting, WineMatch is excited to be exhibiting once again at the Family Winemaker's event at Fort Mason in San Francisco.

This is the best winery event of the year in San Francisco with restaurants, wine bars and wine enthusiasts all coming together to taste wines from small family-owned wineries that people normally would not have the opportunity to taste due to the small volume or limited distribution channels.

WineMatch augments this business perfectly by offering wine enthusiasts on the internet the ability to try wines they normally wouldn't be able to try. By matching your taste to the wines, WineMatch brings unique wines from small famlily owned wineries directly to the consumer.

The America's Cup hasn't kept Family Winemakers 23rd annual San Francisco Tasting from its regular calendar niche this year -- August. Winery registration is now open to members of FWC for the two-day event at Fort Mason Center's Festival Pavilion.

Family Winemakers of California represents wine industry issues before the California Legislature and applicable state regulatory agencies. Issues that impact small producers drive our focus. Without an active voice and presence in Sacramento other groups will make decisions that influence your ability to succeed as a vintner or grape grower. FWC remains the primary vintner-oriented advocate for inclusiveness on laws, regulations and industry practices for wine producers.

The association also provides marketing assistance to its members through its well-known wine tastings in San Francisco, San Diego and Pasadena, as well as its web portal for consumers searching for wineries that ship to states that allow direct-to-consumer sales.

This year the tasting will take place on Saturday and Sunday in the usual format. The first day will feature a trade segment followed by a consumer segment. Saturday will also feature our iSip Lounge area based on its successful debut in San Diego. The second day will be reserved for trade and a very limited consumer audience. And, because it's Fort Mason Center wineries will be able to offer wine sales by the bottle.
