Enjoying life with wine 365 days a year.
I'm a busy guy, not quite at mid-life crisis age. Married to my best friend, two kids under the age of 7 8 who run me around on a daily basis. The usual illness that everyone seems to suffer from - too much to do, not enough time in the day.
I hold 2 positions of power (in my house), I am the:
CCO - chief cooking officer: While I like to use CCO, others simply call me the Poor Man's Chef. If there is only an onion and a piece of bologna in the refrigerator, I can make a gourmet meal of it.
CCCO - chief child chasing officer: I think I might have only gotten this title due to the fact that my children have me whipped and Mommy don't play that. I respond to anything that begins with Daddy, come here... or Dad, can you get me...
So why is a guy with no real formal wine background or affiliation with the wine industry (not to mention zero time) writing a blog like this? Well, here's why:
1) I love finding wines that are great deals and I like letting others in on the secret.
2) I'm tired of wine reviews that talk above a normal person's head...using words like balanced, delicate, subtle. I like to think of myself as an ordinary guy, I'll talk to you in layman's terms.
3) I believe, in general, there is too much mystique about wine and I think that portrays wine as an intimidating subject. For me it just boils down to taste - do you like how it tastes or not?
