Winemaker Scott Henry IV Notes
Our 2002 vintage of Pinot Noir is another shining example of this great varietal that reflects the unique character of Oregon grown Pinot Noir grapes. The aromas of blackberry and black currants are pronounced with this particular vintage. The flavors of cherries mixed with light, toasty overtones from the oak aging, compliment the overall ambiance of this wine. The lingering, forward finnish allows out 2002 Oregon Pinot Noir to be matched with a variety of dishes such as beef, lamb, duck, and most fish, especially salmon. The 2002 vintage will age very well through 2008 given the good acid structure. The fruit flavors were pronounced enough at bottling to give a true enjoyable Pinot Noir experience immediately as well. This wine shoul ...more... d be served proudly knowing it is a true expression of this noble grape grown in the great state of Oregon!
