Winemaker Don & Jesse Lange Notes
Lange Estate Winery was the fourth producer in the United States to work with Pinot Gris and winemaker, Don Lange, was the first to produce a barrel-fermented style. Neutral oak puncheons are used to lend weight and texture to the wine while maintaining remarkably balanced acidity. The nose displays hints of orange blossom, mandarin, ripe canteloupe, and stone fruit minerality. The enticing palate is both rich and sprightly, with notes of Bosc pear, sugared grapefruit, passionfruit, fennel, and lime zest. With its full mid-palate and long, bright finish, the Pinot Gris Reserve has become the flagship white wine from Lange Estate and is consistenly among the top examples of this popular Oregon varietal.
