Winemaker Melissa Bates Notes
San Luis Obispo County has long produced rich, ripe renditions
of the King of Reds. We added small amounts of Merlot and
Petite Sirah to our Cabernet Sauvignon to enhance the wine’s
ripe dark berry and cocoa powder aromas and to increase the
wine’s structure and complexity. This robust wine has delicious
blackberry, mocha and dark chocolate flavors with supple
tannins and a smooth, lingering finish.
