WineMatch.com is raising the bar once again in its proprietary wine profiling and
Winery Direct-to-Consumer Model (W2C) through the integration of Social Media.
 |
This allows consumers to login using existing Facebook and
Twitter account credentials, as last we checked, no one needs
another user name/password combo to remember!
Additional functionality also allows a
|
consumer to directly communicate to their Facebook and Twitter friends while being logged into WineMatch, facilitating the posting of wine recommendations and links to their friends within the Social Media environment. Consumers can also communicate to wineries more easily as outlined below. |
For wineries, WineMatch continues to post all published wines to Facebook and
Twitter, as well as WineMatch's own RSS feed. We recently added the ability for
wineries to have their Facebook, Twitter, RSS feed and Blog links to appear on their
respective winery page on WineMatch, further facilitating consumer to winery
communications via Social Media. A good example here can be found with Girard
Winery, who has all four icons. If a winery does not subscribe to one of these, the icon
will appear greyed out. Wineries can update this information by simply logging into
here.
WineMatch is now able to present highly relevant deals to consumers based on
wines they already enjoy. This is accomplished by using up to 20 points of matching
sensory, chemistry and winery data that has been proven reliable for providing
matches to consumers. When matches are presented, winery deals are as well, as
are the shipping states so voilà, the "Value Proposition!"
 |
Additionally, we acknowledge the role of tablets in tasting rooms, such as Apple's iPad/iPad2 or Motorola's Xoom (Droid OS), WineMatch is in process of accommodating this functionality. All a winery will
need to do is add a WineMatch icon to the tablet and link it to
their winery page on WineMatch.com! Del Rio
Vineyards is a really great
|
example for the integration of a tablet in the tasting room. This functionality gets rolled out in a couple of weeks. |
WineMatch recently completed Road Shows through Washington and Oregon to
showcase the system to area wineries. Presentations were held at DeLille Cellars in
Woodinville, Airfield Estates in Prosser, Walla Walla Airport Conference Center,
Willamette Valley Vineyards in Salem, Henry Estate in Roseburg, and Del Rio
Vineyards in Gold Hill.
 |
We're also quite pleased to announce that
the charity of choice for WineMatch
corporate citizenship is that of Horse Rescue
operations throughout the United States.
One such place is Baiting Hollow Farm
Vineyard & Horse Rescue. We have
|
seen the tragedies and it's high time something is done about it. |
